Use case
News and listing page change monitoring
Monitor a headline list, article index, or portal feed. Region targeting keeps cookie banners and sidebars out of your diffs.
New rows without an RSS feed
Plenty of indexes have no feed, or the feed lags the HTML. A region watch on the headline list shows a new story or listing as added text, with a screenshot you can archive.
PageCrawl and Wachete can crawl indexes too. WebURLTracker is a better fit when you need to exclude the sidebar and ads in one click, then keep a workspace record the team can open later.
Setup
Select the repeating list, not the whole homepage. If the page infinite-scrolls, watch the first screen that actually publishes new items, or use recorded steps in Chrome for the extra scroll.
Typical pages
- News homepages
